The Founding Tin Set
The first three tins of Cohort One's Lower, Middle, and Upper grades, sieve-graded from a single Kangaita harvest. Each tin labelled with grade, harvest week, and cultivar designation.
The first commercial harvest of Purple T — Cohort One, 2026 — is sixty metric tonnes of made tea, produced from a single estate in the Kenyan highlands. A small share is reserved for a Founding Circle: the people who will receive the first tins, the first letters, and the first answers to a question we are only beginning to ask scientifically.
You are reading this because you are considering joining that circle. The page exists to tell you, plainly, what that means and what it does not.
The Founding Circle is sized to the first cohort. We do not over-promise availability. When we have sold the share of Cohort One reserved for early access, the circle is closed for the cohort year.

A one-page reference to TRFK 306/1, its phytochemical profile, and the brewing parameters for each grade. Designed to live next to the kettle.
Sent monthly through the cohort year. Editorial, not promotional. Written about the cultivar, the harvest, the highlands, and what we are learning. We do not send sales emails.
Priority on subsequent cohort releases, with the option to renew Founding Circle status year on year.
The Founding Circle is not free, and it is not transactional in the way most consumer brands structure their early-access programmes. We ask three things.
Drink the tea. Purple T is, before anything else, a drinkable tea. We make it for people who like good tea. Not for collectors, not for displays, not for status. The tins are meant to be opened.
Tell us what you find. Each Founding Letter ends with a question. We are interested in the answer. The cohort year is, in part, a tasting study — informal, but real. The notes from members shape how we describe Purple T to subsequent cohorts.
Be patient with the science. Purple T is in Step 1 of a three-step plan. The Tea — the cup itself — is what is on offer today. The Programme and the Proof come when the evidence supports them. We will not get ahead of the data.
The Founding Circle is part of a longer arc. Some members will be interested in what follows; others will not. Both are fine.
Step 1 — The Tea. What you are joining today. A specialty tea brand built on a single cultivar from a single estate. Premium, considered, drinkable.
Step 2 — The Programme. A structured regime built around Purple T, time-restricted eating, biometric tracking via the Hume Band and Hume Pod, and a quarterly biomarker panel. Designed for members who want to use Purple T as part of a daily rhythm and have the data tracked.
Step 3 — The Proof. Clinical-grade evidence, generated through controlled trials, supporting specific health outcomes. We will not name those outcomes here; the brand discipline is to claim what the evidence supports, not what we hope it will support.
Is the tea organic? Yes. The estate is certified, and the farmers operate under organic standards.
Is the tea sustainably grown? Yes. Smallholder farmers are paid a guaranteed premium for cultivar compliance, and the supply-chain plan invests in cultivar propagation, processing infrastructure, and origin certification.
How long will Cohort One supply last? Sixty metric tonnes is the cohort size. The Founding Circle reserves a defined share. We will close membership when that share is allocated.
Can I gift a Founding Circle membership? Yes. We will offer a gift option at the point of confirmation.
What is the price? We will publish the membership cost on the confirmation page. We can confirm now that it sits at the premium-specialty end of the tea market — comparable to high-end loose-leaf and ceremonial-grade matcha — and that the Founding Circle pricing is held for the cohort year regardless of subsequent changes.
Can I just buy a tin without joining the circle? Not in Cohort One. The first cohort is reserved for the Founding Circle. From Cohort Two onward, individual tins will be available through selected retailers.
Email · country · membership confirmation when the cohort opens. We do not retain payment details before confirmation. We do not share your email address with anyone.
